WEDDINGS IN THE FRENCH ALPS

Documentary wedding photography with an editorial eye, for celebrations surrounded by mountains, lakes and everything in between.

Based in Lyon, France. Available throughout the French Alps and worldwide.

Mountains look different in every season

There is something about celebrating in the mountains that changes the rhythm of a wedding. The scale of the landscape. The changing light. The intimacy of a chalet in winter, a long summer evening in Megève, or the quiet of a celebration by an Alpine lake.

I have photographed the French Alps across seasons and landscapes, and that contrast is part of what I love most about them.

No two celebrations here ever feel quite the same.

HOW IT FELT

Not just how it looked

My approach combines documentary photography with an editorial sensibility.

I photograph weddings as they naturally unfold ; the movement, the people, the unexpected moments, the quiet ones in between ; while paying close attention to light, composition and everything that gives an image its atmosphere.

I want your photographs to tell you what your celebration looked like, of course.

But even more importantly : how it felt.

FROM MEGEVE TO THE ALPINE LAKES

The French Alps offer an incredible variety of settings for destination weddings.

Megève, Chamonix and La Clusaz offer dramatic mountain landscapes, intimate chalets and exceptional hotels, while Annecy, Aix-les-Bains and the Alpine lakes bring together mountains, water and softer summer landscapes.

And the experience changes completely with the seasons ; from outdoor summer celebrations to intimate winter weddings surrounded by snow.

Based in Lyon, I travel easily throughout the French Alps and can photograph your celebration across an entire wedding weekend, from the welcome dinner to the day-after gathering.

FOR COUPLES COMING FROM A LITTLE FURTHER AWAY

Planning a wedding in France from abroad can feel like its own little adventure.

I work in both French and English and regularly photograph international and multicultural celebrations throughout France and Europe.

Whether you're planning from New York, California, London or somewhere entirely different, we'll get to know each other long before the wedding and make sure the photography feels like one of the easy parts.

On the day itself, my presence is quiet and intentional : guiding when needed, stepping back whenever something real is happening.

From historic châteaux overlooking the water to intimate Alpine hotels surrounded by mountains, the French Alps are home to some truly remarkable places to celebrate.

Here are a few venues I particularly love for their setting, atmosphere and the experience they can offer for a destination wedding weekend.

Four Seasons Resort Megève — Megève

Contemporary Alpine elegance with exceptional mountain views. A splendid choice for a refined destination wedding in Megève, whether surrounded by summer landscapes or winter snow. The resort offers several settings for celebrations, including mountain venues overlooking the Mont Blanc landscape.

Les Fermes de Marie — Megève

One of Megève's most iconic addresses, with centuries-old Alpine chalets and a warmer, more intimate atmosphere. Particularly beautiful for a full wedding weekend, from a welcome dinner in the gardens to a celebration and an Alpine brunch the following day.

Palace de Menthon — Lake Annecy

A grand early-20th-century hotel directly on the shores of Lake Annecy, surrounded by mountains. Its gardens, private beach and lake pavilion make it especially beautiful for an elegant waterside celebration.

Château de Menthon-Saint-Bernard — Lake Annecy

A romantic historic château overlooking Lake Annecy and the surrounding mountains. Its 17th-century former wine cellar and panoramic terrace can host receptions of up to 120 guests — a very different atmosphere from the Alpine hotels around Megève and Chamonix.

Hôtel Mont-Blanc Chamonix — Chamonix

A historic five-star address in the heart of Chamonix, with the Mont Blanc massif as its backdrop. I love the contrast between its Belle Époque heritage, contemporary interiors and the dramatic landscape surrounding it. The hotel specifically hosts weddings and private events.
