A civil ceremony in the heart of megève

The day began in the center of Megève, one of the most iconic and picturesque villages in the French Alps.

Surrounded by traditional alpine architecture, flowers, cobblestone streets, and mountain air, Meryl and Albert celebrated their civil ceremony at the town hall located directly on the village square.

There was something incredibly intimate and cinematic about this part of the day ; guests gathering through the small streets of the village, elegant black suits, soft summer light, and the calm atmosphere that makes Megève feel both luxurious and authentic at the same time.

GETTING READY AT Hôtel Mont blanc Megève

Before the ceremony, the couple got ready at the beautiful Hôtel Mont-Blanc in Megève, a place that perfectly reflects the chic and timeless elegance of the village itself.

Meryl wore a stunning couture-inspired Chloé wedding dress with an effortlessly modern silhouette that moved beautifully throughout the day. Paired with Albert’s classic black tuxedo, the entire aesthetic of the wedding felt refined, minimal, and deeply editorial.

Every detail was intentionally elegant without ever feeling excessive ; allowing emotion, atmosphere, and personal connection to remain at the center of the celebration.

Following the civil ceremony, guests walked through the village toward the church located on the main square of Megève.

One of the things I love most about weddings in alpine villages is how naturally immersive the experience feels. Everything happens within walking distance, creating a beautiful rhythm throughout the day where guests fully experience the destination itself rather than moving between disconnected venues.

The church ceremony felt emotional, luminous, and deeply intimate, surrounded by family, close friends, and the quiet beauty of the mountains in summer.

The reception then continued higher in the mountains near Côte 2000, in one of Megève’s refined gastronomic restaurants.

Cocktail hour took place outdoors overlooking the alpine landscape, followed by an elegant dinner under the summer evening light.

The entire design embraced a timeless palette of white and green florals, with sophisticated tablescapes that blended beautifully into the natural surroundings of the French Alps. The atmosphere felt elevated yet relaxed ; the perfect balance for a luxury destination wedding in the mountains.

As the sun disappeared behind the peaks, the evening transformed into an unforgettable celebration filled with warmth, movement, music, and emotion.

The party was brought to life by Mix and Soul, whose live performance created one of the most incredible wedding atmospheres I’ve ever experienced.

The energy throughout the evening was completely contagious ; elegant, joyful, emotional, and wildly celebratory all at once. From emotional first dances to guests singing together late into the night, the atmosphere perfectly reflected everything this wedding embodied: sophistication, connection, and genuine celebration.
