AN AUTUMN WEDDING IN THE BELGIAN COUNTRYSIDE

There is something particularly beautiful about autumn weddings. The softer light, the richness of the colours, the warmth of a celebration moving indoors as the evening settles in.

This wedding in Belgium unfolded over two days, beginning with an intimate civil ceremony in Brussels the day before the main celebration. The following morning, we left the city for the Belgian countryside, where their families and friends gathered for a completely different atmosphere.

Set among trees glowing with autumn colours, the venue felt almost like an English cottage : warm, intimate and wonderfully timeless. A fire burning inside, soft seasonal light filtering through the trees, beautiful details and a couple whose tenderness made the entire weekend feel incredibly easy to photograph.

As daylight slowly disappeared, the celebration moved into a candlelit dinner. The tables, the warm light and the energy in the room created one of those atmospheres that photographs can describe better than words.
